The guys at Honest -1 told me what was actually wrong with my vehicle and didn't pressure me to buy something I couldn't afford. I needed to replace the Driver Side Front tire on my car and didn't have the $ to replace all 4 Tires which is needed or highly recommended for a All-Wheel drive SUV. They ended up giving me a free spare tire which I didn't have in the car and treated me with the most respect. They made a stressful morning and situation into a workable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend the Honest 1 Auto in Anoka MN to anyone wanting honest and great customer service. Thanks Guys for saving my a** last week👍👍👍👍👍

I went to Honest 1 Auto-Care to get a wheel alignment. The inspection was $30. They stated I needed to replace my windshield wipers, tie rods, struts and shock, stabilizer link kit, steering rack and pinion. For a grand total of $5,200. I took my vehicle to get a second opinion because I’m not new to mechanics and there scams. Second place told me all I needed was new inner and outer tie rods. For a total of $300 I got the vehicle completely fixed every other part they suggested was not needed but they wanted to replace to get more money out of me. Overall complete waste of time and money. Don’t go here and always get second opinions.

I called honest 1 about the possibility of bringing my Kia into their shop for a timing chain replacement. After they got back to me, and told me what it would cost, this is what I have to say. First let's cover what a timing chain kit actually cost, between O'Reilly's, AutoZone, and Napa auto parts. A timing chain kit ranges between 380+ dollars to 860 dollars. Keep in mind the higher the price of a timing chain kit, the more complete it comes with all parts necessary for the mechanic to get the job fully done, mechanics also pay this price just the same as a customer who go to a auto parts store to buy the kit. Now, over the course of the last 4 months, I have talked to at least 14 different mechanics, and 4 different auto parts stores from Zimmerman all the way up to Rogers. Because I live in Zimmerman, I needed to see what the prices were to get a timing chain kit replaced in my SUV. All mechanics from Zimmerman to Rogers gave me an estimate of anywhere from 1700 dollars to 2400 dollars . This includes the parts by the mechanics, and labor cost, for some reason honest 1 has the cost up to 5600 dollars to replace a timing chain kit out of a 2011 Kia Sorento LX V6. So here's my question for you Mr owner, why are your prices well above doubled compared to most other mechanics less than 10 miles north of you?, why does it cost 5600 dollars to replace a timing chain kit that shouldn't cost no more than 860 for a complete set, and how much is the labor cost? Last I checked, it's roughly 1400 to 1600 dollars for a 3 day turnaround period for labor cost. If you ask me, I firmly believe 5600 Dollars is a blatant rip off, this is why I changed my review to 1 star. Despite I have done business with this corporation in the past. I would adjust how you do your prices instead of using the excuse of rising inflation from the pandemic.
