Anoka Auto Repair

They tried to charge my Mother almost $4000 to get her exhaust and a bunch of sensors replaced. She decided to get a second opinion and the guys at the other shop basically told her it was highway robbery and all that was wrong was part of the exhaust came free from a hook and fixed it for her for free. It took two minutes and fixed all the problems that she had been having. I wish I had known that this shop liked scamming elderly widows before I had my vehicle towed there to get my brakes fixed. It took them a whole week to complete the work they did on it and I asked a couple times about a rental car and was told they would call me if one became available, which never happened. Here is the list of things they did for a caliper breaking due to letting the brakes wear down too far: - Oil change - Brake pads and rotors (front) - Brake calipers (front) - Brake flex hoses - Brake fluid flush exchange - Steering tie rods - Front end allignment - Thermostat replacement - Water pump replacement - Transmission fluid and filter Grand total: ~$3750 I can't say if I got ripped off or not but now I wonder how much of this stuff and the other ~$4000 worth of work they want to do to my vehicle was done because they didn't want to tighten a hose clamp. They are gleefully willing to replace the entirety of an exhaust system instead of re-attaching it to the hook it came off. At least my brakes work now.

Mainly dealt with Tim with input from another employee who I believed to be was the mechanic who assessed the necessary repairs to be done. Both were more than fair in the assessment in my opinion, found items that I questioned and unfortunately it appears that I've been taken advantage of in the recent past. Although upset about that part, very grateful for their honesty. Wish I would have found this place prior to spending money elsewhere first. My motto has always been, don't lie to me, I may not like what you've told me, but I'll get over it. This company could not have been more honest (hence the name I'm guessing) and an exemplary example of the kind of service that I look forward to doing business with.

I've got my cars repaired here for years. Every time I get anything done here from brakes, clutch work & oil changes, they've done the most profession work, had very reasonable rates, and stand behind everything they touch. They get the work done 5 times faster than my KIA & Ford dealer's shops and their 3 year / 36,000 mile beats the industry standard by 3! I can't imagine going anywhere else to take my cars. And....my Anoka Honest 1 Auto Care's staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus they constantly have great coupons online, including making my oil changes cheaper than doing them myself. I don't think me saying they do EXCELLENT work would half describe how happy I am with the quality of the work they do! They are just plain "the best".

Service was good but this place is more expensive than other mechanics in the area. I will be looking for a new place to take my business.

I brought my daughter's car in for an oil change in March and by mid-April she was stranded with a dead engine that was bone dry in the crank case. Will never bring another car to Honest-1.
